ZMIE grew out of Zhejiang Machinery Import & Export Company — the largest machinery state-owned exporter in Zhejiang in the 1990s. In 2000 the transmission parts division became independent and started operating under the name ZMIE. From a single range of standard products, it built a technical and sales team that provides solutions — helping customers improve efficiency and reduce cost — while the product line kept expanding.
